Japanese Police granted more access to U.S. troops

New agreement opens door to questioning of more suspects.

Following an agreement reached Friday at a meeting of the Japan-U.S. Joint Committee, Japanese government officials say they now will be able to ask the United States to hand over U.S. servicemen suspected of a wider range of crimes prior to indictment.
