Stop the militarization of law enforcement

As indicated by the Aug. 1 photo of the Leon County sheriff's storm troopers, the ominous militarization of law enforcement continues unabated. That doesn't bode well for any of us. Ronald Reagan's former Attorney General Ed Meese warned against this long ago.

Government at all levels, especially federal, has gotten way too big and powerful under the pretext of fighting terrorism. But instead this emerging police state is controlling we the people as subjects. The primary and supreme laws that should be enforced, but aren't, are in the American Constitution, which prevails over and supersedes any and all other laws.

We need less big brother government, which is all the Democrats/Republicans have to offer. Vote Constitution or Libertarian Party in November for real change and truly limited government!
