JAG Hunter here: The operative word in this selected quote is "JURY." There are no juries in the U.S. military discipline system. As constitutional law Professor Holzer states clearly, even America's worst, most dangerous enemies, are protected against direct action by the state by juries, a protection no American soldier, sailor, airman, Marine, reservist, or guardsman enjoys under the our Articles of War (renamed the Uniform Code of Military Justice in 1951).
