Two Okinawa Marines arrested for allegedly taking money from lost wallet

Pvt. Jonathan T. Mix, 21, and Pfc. Eric Smith, 19, face charges of theft. They are both assigned to the 9th Engineer Support Battalion, a Marine spokesman said.

Smith will be treated as a juvenile under Japanese law. He and Mix allegedly sat in the rear seat of the cab and discovered a wallet a previous passenger left in the taxi, the police spokesman said.
