Probation, counseling for commissioner in assault on wife

Kramer, a Republican first-term county commissioner and a part-time fuel specialist at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, originally faced two domestic violence charges. With 18 years in the Armed Forces, officials said, he stood to lose a military pension and face dishonorable discharge if convicted of a crime that military justice treats as a felony.
